Research Interests

Dr. Krajden’s research involves the molecular diagnosis of viruses, the assessment of correlates between infection and clinical disease, the use of molecular markers to monitor anti-viral efficacy in vivo and the use of molecular techniques to track microbial infections for epidemiological purposes. He has particular expertise in quantitative nucleic acid testing of hepatitis B and C viruses and inter-assay evaluation. He has also published in the fields of nucleic acid based detection of cytomegalovirus and hepatitis C virus in blood donors.
